AI-powered image generator integrated into search for US users

In a transformative move, Google has unveiled its AI-powered image generator, reshaping the way users interact with the search engine. Exclusively available to U.S. users aged 18 and above, this innovative tool allows seamless image generation directly within Google’s search interface.

To access this feature, users can connect to Google Labs and the Search Generative Experience (SGE). Gone are the days of third-party sites; now, with the power of neural networks, users can craft images effortlessly by inputting a text hint. Within seconds, the system generates a fully-formed image, which can be exported to Google Drive or downloaded to the user’s device.

This breakthrough extends to Google Images, where users can further explore AI-generated visuals. Moreover, utilizing Google Lens, users can search for real images inspired by the AI-generated creations, enhancing the search experience like never before.

However, there are certain limitations. Currently, the feature is confined to U.S. users and is available only in English-language programs. Access requires registration with Google Labs and the SGE program. Notably, the tool prohibits the creation of images featuring celebrities or highly realistic depictions of human faces.

In a bid to maintain authenticity and originality, Google has introduced SynthID, a digital watermarking system that labels AI-generated images. Users can find these cutting-edge features under the Labs tab (flask icon) in the Google app, accessible across iOS, Android, and Chrome desktop platforms.

This game-changing integration marks a significant leap in the evolution of search technology, heralding a new era where creativity and search converge seamlessly, all thanks to Google’s groundbreaking AI initiatives.
