Advertisers now have a quick and easy way to identify areas for improvement before a Performance Max campaign is launched.

Optimization Score.
Find ways to improve your campaign with Google Ads score optimization.

The score ranges from 0 to 100%, and if your campaign scores anything less than 100%, you will receive recommendations to increase the score.
Score optimization is a feature advertisers depend on to create other types of campaigns in Google Ads, and it is now available for performance Max.

Seasonality adjustments.
With seasonality adjustments, you can tailor your offer strategy to events where conversion rates are expected to be higher, such as promotions and sales.

Google recommends using seasonality adjustments when you expect a significant increase in conversion rates outside of typical seasonal patterns. Smart bidding already accounts for predicted seasonal events.

Data Exceptions
With data exclusions, you can tell Google smart bidding to ignore data from dates where your campaign had trouble tracking conversions.
Excluding this data can prevent inaccurate conversion tracking from affecting your Performance Max Bid strategy.

Advanced location tools
Get more accurate with your targeting by using the new advanced location options.

Under “Location Options” in your campaign settings, you’ll find options to target based on physical “presence” or “presence or interest.”
