Microsoft Advertising this week announced several new features at its annual Microsoft Advertising Elevate 2022 summit. The biggest announcement in Elevate was the addition of cashback promotions. Microsoft has been working feverishly on Edge and Rewards, and now it’s turned into an ad.
This is a new promotional offer that will incentivize shoppers with a discount on the purchase. Microsoft will select the appropriate cashback amount to allow advertisers to get the best possible return on their advertising spend. However, it is not yet clear whether the cashback is paid by Microsoft Rewards or by the advertiser.
Also, creating compelling ads may soon be easier with the new Ad Creator from Microsoft Advertising. This will allow advertisers to find stock images, pull images from your site, and edit photos directly within the tool.
Microsoft has also increased its commitment to rich media and vertical advertising, which are new types of advertising. Microsoft said the ADT security solution “reduced total cost per click (CPC) and increased ROAS by 9.5x.”
