At the FY-23 Q1 earnings call, Tech Mahindra revealed that they are building a culture of innovation and new services, such as metaverse, along with delivering differentiated and more futuristic solutions.
Tech Mahindra CEO C P Gurnani said the company is taking bold steps in developing some new capabilities, including 5G, Metaverse and Makers Lab, which they have successfully built in 8 different locations. He also added that Tech Mahindra will continue to invest in data and AI labs along with sports technology verticals with platforms like Fan, NXT.NOW, netOps.ai and others. Shedding light on metastreams, Gurnani tells Analytics India Magazine that he is currently working on 60 metastreams around the world. Of those, 25 projects are ed-tech related and the rest are retail, car dealership management, auto repair and maintenance and other industries.
“We have a different client base, but it’s one of the fastest-growing practices,” Gurnani says.
